5 Island; environmental education schemes focusing on local schoolchildren; and supporting the RELUSAN Initiative which collects burned oils and ? lters from San Cristóbal Island and takes them to mainland to be disposed of safely. We also work and collaborate on several environmental and social projects in the local communities of the inhabited islands, generating alternative sources of income for Galápagos women, for instance. We share information and news regarding our projects with our guests on-board, so that they know their travel choice made a difference.
