4 Our environmental philosophy and performance aims at enhancing not only the experiences of our guests, but also the daily work practices of our teams. We constantly seek to have a positive impact in the communities we work with, as well as contributing to preserving the integrity of ecosystems. We encourage our clients, guests and staff to be environmentally aware, taking tangible and quanti? able practical actions wherever possible. Metropolitan Touring actively participates in and promotes sustainable travel, corporate stewardship, nature conservation initiatives and projects that improve the quality of life of local communities. Our three vessels and our hotel in the Galápagos, for instance, are all certi? ed by the Smart Voyager programme (www.smartvoyager.org).
