Aún recuerdo cuando, en mi juventud, subí
por primera vez a una montaña nevada en el
Ecuador: esa sensación de plenitud combinada con
agotamiento, de felicidad, por la satisfacción que
brinda el estar parado en el techo del mundo. El
explorar y la aventura han sido parte importante
de mi vida desde ese entonces. Ya sea buceando
en las Islas Galápagos junto a tiburones ballena,
escalando las montañas más altas, o emprendiendo
expediciones por la selva, mi necesidad de ver
el mundo desde otros ángulos y lograr nuevas
perspectivas, ha inspirado cada uno de los aspectos
de mi vida.
Cuando tomé a cargo Metropolitan Touring en el
año 2000, fue ese mismo espíritu de aventura lo que
me motivó a hacerlo, el que me impulsó a convertir
a la compañía en la mejor de su clase en América
Latina. Pero más allá de motivos personales, fue la
oportunidad de brindar experiencias de aquellas que
se disfruta una vez en la vida; de marcar rutas para
que nuestros huéspedes las sigan, de ir abriendo
ventanas a la cultura y tradiciones y forjando
amistades que no reconocen límites internacionales,
lo que ha constituido la parte más maravillosa y
grati? cante de involucrarme con la compañía.
Les invito, pues, a compartir la visión de
Metropolitan Touring sobre lo que es viajar en el
siglo 21; hacer que nuestros clientes disfruten esa
sensación de aventura, esa mezcla tan especial
de estremecimiento y asombro que solo el viajar
puede inspirar, de ser nuestros socios mientras les
